About Me & How I Work
I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling (PGDip) awarded by the Psychosynthesis Trust in London and the University of Middlesex, and accredited by both the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
I am also an Integral Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT) Certified Practitioner.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).
I offer session in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
The model I use draws on the principles of psychodynamics, person-centred approach, cognitive behavioural therapy, gestalt, mindfulness and meditation. Different tools and experiential exercises such as drawing, guided meditation and inner dialogue are used to help you to broaden your awareness about yourself and the world around you, and to get in touch with your inner strengths and wisdom so that you can make a positive change in your life.
In addition to my private practice, I volunteer in NHS as a Counsellor and I am also a Training Assistant at the Psychosynthesis Trust.
Prior to my training in counselling and psychotherapy, I received a BAs in Commerce.
I grew up in Hong Kong and finished my higher education in North America. I have lived in 8 different countries in 4 continents. The experience of extensive travelling and living in different places have taught me to be appreciative and acceptive of differences in each individual. I like expressing myself through art and when I am not working, I love going to the cinema, reading or simply enjoying a cup of tea.
